An Italian-inspired York City Elopement

England's answer to Rome

Something about the combination of sunshine and York's cream & stone architecture screams Italy to me. On this day in February as myself, Ellie & Marcus searched for little pockets of light and dreamy backdrops, I felt like we were wandering the streets of Rome. Cobbled alleys, stone walls and York minster; if I didn't know any better I would have thought we were abroad. Such a great alternative if you don't fancy a destination wedding/elopement; head to good old York!

The quiet passion of eloping in the city

I love city elopements. There is so much to play with and so much fun to be had and yet they are so beautifully understated. Wandering around, grabbing coffee, running across roads (green man only though!) with just your partner and a bouquet. Couple that with finding the quiet moments; a lean against a wall, a little breather, a quick cuddle; and these moments add up to such a beautifully intimate & characterful day.

Head to dreamy York for your city elopement

I love capturing these days in a really nostalgic, film-inspired & editorial way. It adds even more conviction to the feeling of being abroad. If this is your vibe and you're as obsessed with this style as me, I would love to capture your day, however it looks for you. Have a look at my packages here to get the ball rolling.
